Manx Cat Price, Kittens for Sale and Breeders: Four Markets, Counted

The Manx market has a personality: breeders exist, are reachable, and almost none of them publishes a price. This page reports what the live markets actually show, names the one rate card we found, and explains the tail-class price split no aggregator guide mentions. Nothing is converted between currencies; Australia's gap is labeled, not papered over.

United States: a live sample, a stated floor, and four silent catteries

The live marketplace sample (GoKitty, 8 priced listings on our research date) spans $195 to $850, with the honest caveat that those listings are not labeled purebred or registered. A breeder directory's own stated floor for cattery kittens reads "around or over $1,000." And here is the market-structure finding: four named US catteries reached directly (Karello in Pennsylvania, Oregon Manx, Manx Station, Deydream) publish no price at all, four different sites, one result. Secondary guides diverge sharply ($150-500 at the low end to $1,500-2,000+ at the breeder tier), and none anchors to a named cattery, so treat those as atmosphere, not data.

United Kingdom: two marketplaces, one brand-new club

Two independent live samples from the same day: Pets4Homes showed a single £300 listing alongside its own FAQ range of £300 to £600, while UKPets ran lower at £130 to £180 per kitten. The UK's breed infrastructure is being rebuilt in real time: the Manx Cat Club was founded in 2026 and confirms only three active UK breeders, with its own breeder page still marked coming soon. Waiting lists are the honest expectation.

Canada: the one real rate card, hidden one click deep

The nationwide Kijiji sample ran CA$30 to CA$800, mostly labeled crosses. The find of the file sat behind a "Please Contact" card: opening the individual listing revealed Mad Manx Cattery (Prince George, BC), purebred-registered, with a genuine rate card: rumpy kittens CA$1,000, tailed kittens CA$850. That $150 gap is the first named, primary, tail-class-specific price this research found anywhere, and it confirms what a secondary guide claims: tail class is the biggest single price lever in Manx breeding.

Australia: honestly, not verified

No primary Australian source states an actual price: every AU marketplace we tried was bot-walled on every door, and no named cattery publishes a figure. Secondary guide ranges circulate; we do not publish them as data. Australian buyers should budget from breeder conversations, not from webpages, ours included.

Why the tail decides the price

The Manx comes in four tail classes (rumpy, rumpy riser, stumpy, longy), only the shortest of which are showable, and show potential is what catteries price.
