Feed Me Hooman

Terms

Terms of service

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. What these terms cover

These terms of service (the "Terms", which include terms of sale for paid features) govern access to and use of feedmehooman.com, published by Webedia SRL (see the legal notice). By using the site you accept these Terms. Creating an account and using community features requires their express acceptance.

The sections about subscriptions and Paws (articles 10 and 11) take effect when those services actually open on the site.

2. The service

The site offers informative content about cats (breed guides, articles), tools, games, a forum, a directory of shelters and breeders, and community features. Content is free to read; some features require an account, and some options belong to a paid subscription (article 10).

We work to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access: maintenance windows and technical incidents can happen.

3. Your account

You must be 16 or older to create an account (below that age, permission from a parent or legal guardian is required). Sign-in is passwordless, via Google, Facebook or an email link: you are responsible for keeping those sign-in methods secure and for the activity on your account.

You agree to provide accurate information. A public profile is attached to your account; you control what it shows from your dashboard.

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, with notice except in emergencies or where the law requires otherwise.

4. Your content and licenses

You own the content you publish (photos, videos, text, comments, forum posts, your cats' profiles).

Base license (included in accepting these Terms). By publishing content, you grant Webedia SRL a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, reproduce and display it on the site and within its features (including games, leaderboards and previews), and for the non-commercial promotion of the site on its own pages and social accounts, which for videos includes appearing in a compilation carrying no advertising. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for temporary technical copies and content already legitimately shared.

Each upload carries its own permissions. When you send a photo or a video you choose, upload by upload, whether we may show it on the site and whether we may repost it on our social accounts. Your last choice is offered again next time as a convenience; it never changes the permissions attached to something you already sent, and each item keeps the settings it had when you uploaded it. You can change or withdraw them from your account at any time.

Monetization permission (separate and optional). Using your content in monetized productions (for example video compilations published on revenue-generating channels) is never covered by simply accepting these Terms. It requires a specific permission you can grant through a dedicated checkbox, never pre-ticked, offered when you publish until you have granted it. You can manage and revoke it at any time from your account settings; revocation applies to future uses. It is never a condition for accessing any feature of the site.

Your promises. You confirm that you hold the rights to what you publish, that identifiable people appearing in your content have agreed, and that your content does not infringe anyone's rights. For video this covers recognizable voices as well as faces, and any place, document or screen readable in the frame. If someone in one of your videos changes their mind, tell us and we remove it.

5. Community rules

The following content and behavior are prohibited: anything illegal, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, violent or sexual in nature, misleading content, anything harmful to animal welfare, harassment, unsolicited commercial outreach and spam. Respect for other members and for animals is the baseline.

External links are not allowed on the forum or in comments. In private messages, links (including spelled-out ones) are blocked; messaging requires the recipient's prior acceptance, and anyone can restrict who may write to them, block a member or report a conversation.

Attempts to manipulate games, leaderboards, votes or counters (multiple accounts, automation, organized vote trading) can lead to the cancellation of the affected results and the suspension of the account.

6. Moderation and reports

Published content is moderated through a combination of automated filters (including automated image screening) and human review: some content may be held before publication. Any member can report content; a report triggers a human review, and no content is ever removed automatically just because it was reported.

Every video is watched by a person before it is used anywhere. Our automated screening reads still images only, so it cannot judge a video at all: rather than let one through unchecked, we hold all of them until a human has reviewed them. A refused photo or video is deleted from our servers, along with the thumbnail generated from it; the exception is material we are required to preserve for the authorities, covered below.

Private messages are never read by the team, unless a participant in the conversation reports it to moderation.

For clearly unlawful content, we may remove the content, suspend the account and, where the law requires or allows, preserve the necessary material and hand it to the competent authorities.

7. Games, points, directory and specific sections

Games and leaderboards. Points, scores, badges and rankings are playful features with no monetary value, no convertibility and no acquired rights; their rules (scoring, monthly freezes) are described on the relevant pages and may evolve.

Veterinarian reviews. The vet-review section is reserved for veterinarians whose professional license or registration number has been verified. Their reviews are their own and do not constitute a veterinary consultation.

Shelter and breeder directory. Listings are self-reported and verified where possible (public registers). Professionals guarantee the accuracy of their information and their compliance with their legal obligations. Directory badges follow objective criteria and are never for sale. Listing a cattery requires an active subscription of the required tier (article 10); the site takes no part in transactions between members and professionals and is not a party to them.

Memorial. Memorial pages follow the same content rules, with a particular expectation of dignity.

8. The site's intellectual property

Content produced by our editorial team (breed guides, articles, illustrations, brand, logos, interface elements) is protected and remains the property of Webedia SRL or its partners. Reproduction beyond short, properly attributed quotations requires permission.

10. Subscriptions (terms of sale)

The site offers three subscription tiers ("Kibble", "Treats", "Feast") whose benefits are described on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Prices are shown excluding tax; the tax owed in your own country is added and displayed before you confirm payment. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record for the sale, meaning Paddle is the seller of record and handles billing, tax and refunds. Our refund policy is at /refunds.

Duration and renewal. Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, without pro-rated refunds unless the law requires otherwise.

Right of withdrawal. Under consumer law, distance purchases of services carry a 14-day withdrawal right. By requesting immediate access to your subscription benefits you consent to immediate performance; if you withdraw within the period, an amount proportional to the service already provided may be retained.

Changes. Prices and tier contents may change; we notify you at least 30 days before any change that affects your current subscription, so you can cancel first.

Facebook subscriber perk. Members with an active paid subscription to our Facebook page can, upon simple request through our contact, receive the benefits of the "Treats" tier on the site for as long as that Facebook subscription remains active. This equivalence is a courtesy: it is not a sale concluded on the site (the subscription relationship, its billing and its cancellation remain governed by Facebook), it may be verified periodically, and it ends with the Facebook subscription.

11. Paws and virtual gifts (terms of sale)

"Paws" are on-site credits used to send virtual gifts to other members. They are obtained by purchasing packs (prices shown before payment) or granted for free (allowances tied to the account or a subscription).

Nature. Paws and virtual gifts are digital items usable only on the site: they are not electronic money, hold no refundable value, cannot be transferred off the site or converted into cash, and confer no property right. A member who receives a gift receives no money.

Validity. Purchased Paws never expire. Granted Paws remain valid while the account is active; those tied to a subscription expire 3 months after it ends.

Withdrawal. Paws packs are digital content delivered immediately: by confirming the purchase you request immediate delivery and expressly waive the right of withdrawal, as permitted by consumer law.

Fraud and account closure. In case of payment fraud, the corresponding Paws can be cancelled. If an account is closed for a serious breach, granted Paws are forfeited; unused purchased Paws are reviewed in good faith. If the service shuts down permanently, members will be informed at least 30 days in advance.

12. Liability, and our rule about your cat's health

Everything we publish about animal health is information, and nothing more. It is researched carefully, cross-checked against several sources and published with those sources attached, but it describes cats in general and it is not reviewed by a veterinarian before publication. It does not know your cat. It cannot examine your cat, it cannot tell you what is wrong with your cat, and it is never a rule you should follow instead of professional advice. That applies to every format on this site: articles, breed profiles, calculators, quizzes and interactive tests alike.

Our rule is short on purpose. Something wrong with your cat means you call your vet, and an emergency clinic if it is out of hours. Nothing you read here is a reason to wait, to delay a consultation, to stop a treatment, or to treat an animal yourself. If what you read here and what your vet tells you disagree, your vet is right: they have examined the animal.

Prices, legal duties and common practice are given for a named country and are correct only there. They differ between the United States, the UK, Canada and Australia, and often between states or provinces. Never treat a figure or a legal statement found here as applying where you live without checking it locally.

You decide what happens to your animal, and you are responsible for it. Webedia SRL cannot be held liable for any decision, action or failure to act by an owner or keeper regarding an animal, nor for any consequence for that animal, including where the decision was taken after reading this site. Our liability is likewise excluded for content published by members, for which we act as a hosting provider under the reporting mechanism described in article 6.

None of the above excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, in particular in cases of fraud, or of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

13. Personal data

How we process your data is described in our privacy policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may evolve. For substantial changes, members are informed and asked to accept the new version at their next sign-in. The date of the current version appears at the top of the page.

15. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of residence. If a dispute arises, we will look for an amicable solution first: write to contact@webedia.be. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing that, the courts of Brussels, Belgium have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rules.
