Cookie· the mascot answersTacoma police went out to a forty-foot sailboat for a welfare check and found nobody aboard, only cats. Sixty came off over six days and went to the local Humane Society, and the department is still going back because, in their words, cats are exceptionally good at hiding. If you walk at Owens Beach and see one on that boat, they want a photo, a date and a location at animalcontrol@tacoma.gov.
